First: Ellie Williams has reached 50 k on 19th march after only 50 days on SAB - absolutely incredible ... but no surprise to me, becaus her music is really touching the heart. I am now impatiently waiting for her cd.

Second: New Artists I believe in - Slim Void (already old friends from Norway), Civilized Tears (allthough Tim has to pause due to his illness, I am holding on), The Mitchell Blues Band (still celebrating the blues), and now the really new ones: Sundial Project (my musical taste), Tony Richards and The Kman Band (good rocking music).

Third: I have striped the SAB widths to scout some new artists and I was successful. Within the next days I will introduce artists such as The Hot Rocks, Ryan Hooper, The Sick-Leaves and Supermassive Quazar only to name a few.

Currently I'm not quite sure about my strategy on SAB: the two ways of spreading my parts. I don't know whether it's better to believe in five or six few artists or to spread parts extremely wide to a great number of artists (like Ed the Cheesehead does). Whatever, my current favourites are six in number and I will not increase this number overly.

So my current favourites are: Ellie Williams (her way at SAB is absolutely incredible), Slim Void (my scandinavian heart beats for them), Bim (real refreshing music), Civilized Tears (my favourite music from the beginning of my SAB-life), Scry (that's accurately my music taste) and Francis Rodino (I missed his first run on SAB).

Besides my new Club SAB Playlists are online: first Kompis' SAB faves - my ten most-loved tracks (updated every week, mostly of course from my believe-ins) and second Scouted on SAB (by Kompis) - the counterpart of my scoutedonSAB-link on this blog.

As you can see I am a person who loves numbers and stats. So you can see in the stat beneath, how my parts are spread among the artists at the moment.

For all those, who love to listen to original, handmade blues The Mitchell Blues Band is the ultimate choice. Tim Mitchell plays the guitar incredibly and his voice is really made to sing the blues. To me he seems to be the personification of blues.

I can definitely not mention one favourite song on the Sellaband site of TMBB. All three are my favourites. For more information see the "scoutedonSAB"-link.

So, nachdem ich alles noch einmal kräftig durchdacht und durcheinandergewirbelt habe, ist unten mein aktuelles "Engagement" bei SAB zusehen.

Ja, das war’s dann also mit Trail bei SAB. Die Jungs haben sich einfach aus dem Staub gemacht. Schade, war gute Musik. Und die waren schon über 30k. Warum machen die sowas? Mal sehen, wie viele Fans mit zu slicethepie.com wechseln – Potenzial, was Großes zu werden, haben Trail allemal.

Aber nun zurück zu SAB – denn ich bleibe hier. Es hat sich einiges getan bei meinen Parts:

1. musste ich meine frei gewordenen Trail-Parts neu vergeben und bin auch schon fündig geworden: Ellie Williams hat einen furiosen Start hingelegt – über 3k in einer guten Woche – Respekt. Habe mich sofort mit 4 Parts eingekauft – mit der Option da noch was draufzusatteln.

2. den zweiten Teil der Trail-Parts habe ich bei The Serindipity „abgeladen“ – da kommt meine Schwäche für Skandinavien durch – 10 Parts für die Jungs, weil die Musik in jedem Fall radio- und massentauglich ist.

Ja, schade eigentlich ... - habe gerade versucht, ein paar Songs von Trail downzuloaden (auf der Trail-MySpace-Seite) - hat leider nicht funktioniert. Das scheint aber ein My-Space-Problem zu sein - bei Civilized Tears hat es auch nicht geklappt - oder ich stehe auf der Leitung!?

Dafür bei den Fakes umso besser.

Auch die freedownloads von SAB (Sellaband): Nemesea, Cubworld, Maytrea und SecondPerson habe ich mir geholt - die sind ja alle schon verkauft. Die Musik werde ich mir am Wochenende beim Fahren auf der Autobahn reinziehen. Ich lass mich überraschen, was da auf mich zukommt.

Auswertung folgt in der nächsten Woche.

Habe mir gerade mal die Trail-Homepage angesehen - sehr übersichtlich, aber alles da, was man so braucht. Link ist unter mylinklife zu finden.

Ich habe mir heute mal die ersten deutschen Artists angesehen und natürlich auch angehört und ein paar einzelne ganz gute Klänge hören dürfen. Leider führen die Germans ein ziemliches Schattendasein: gerade mal die ersten drei haben mehr als 5.000 Parts und dann gehts ziemlich rapide runter. Ich hoffe, dass auch die Deutschen irgendwann mal einen Artist ins Studio schicken können. Einen Kandidaten kann ich jedoch noch nicht ausmachen - wobei Blister und CompulsorySkin meine Favoriten sind.

P.S.: Ich sehe gerade, bei den UK-Acts sieht es auch nicht viel besser aus (4 über 5k), die US-Übersicht bietet ein etwas besseres Bild (5 über 5k). Auch die Aussies sind mit 5 über 5k stark vetreten. Überrascht haben mich die Holländer die mit 4 über 5k mit den Briten gleichgezogen sind. Gerade als ich bei den Franzosen mal nachsehe (2 über 5k) entdecke ich eine Truppe, die man sicher im Auge behalten sollte: The Fakes - "Luvoxyde" ist genial.
